As the Kingdom of DeMolay continues build out and brings more and more DeMolay into this special world, the team at Boston Light wanted to provide everyone with a glimpse into the making of the Kingdom and where they see it going. The annual DeMolay-Job’s Daughters-Rainbow statewide initiation was held on Saturday, March 3rd at the Salem Scottish Rite Center.  Five new members joined Oregon DeMolay, while Job’s Daughters had 4 and Rainbow welcomed 2 new members.  Members of Eugene, Mount Hood, Milwaukie, Pacific, Peninsula, Tigard, and Willamette took part in the degrees.  That night, they joined the Rainbow and Bethel girls at the talent show and dance!Congratulations to the new members to the Masonic family!

DeMolay International is proud to announce the KINGDOM OF DeMOLAY MEMBERSHIP CONTEST which shall commence on Tuesday, February 15^th, 2012 and close on Monday, April 30^th, 2012.   Your Kingdom needs you!

Prizes will be awarded in three (3) categories.

 BEST IN OVERALL GROWTH (Largest # of Initiates)

Initiate a minimum of seven (7) new members to qualify.

BEST IN NET GROWTH (Largest % of growth)

Increase the size of your Chapter by 20% to qualify.

TOP FIRST LINE SIGNER (Most new initiates)

Sign at least three (3) new members to qualify.

A custom limited edition Crown of Youth, a display case, and a framed medieval certificate worthy of your Chapter will be presented to each winning Chapter.  The top first line signer will gain free admission for him and his Chaperone to Session in Louisville as well as a framed medieval certificate.

All Form 10’s must be completed and submitted according to the Rules and Regulations of the Chapter.  The campaign commences on February 15^th, 2012 through April 30^th, 2012.  No Form 10’s will be considered for this campaign if postmarked after May 10^th, 2012.

In the event of a tie, the tie will be broken in a traditionally knightly manner.  A committee of fair maidens shall determine the winner.

Just to add a little more excitement, we will give full credit for any new members brought in since February 1^st. 2012.

In order to enhance and facilitate communications with the Chapters of the Oregon State Council, the State Master Councilor is looking for active DeMolays interested in acting as State Chapter Representatives.  In addition to improving communication between the State Council and their respective Chapters, the SMC would look to Chapter Representatives to serve on ritual teams and act as Conclave officers.

Ideally, a Chapter Representative would be at least 16 years old, a Past Master Councilor, and has completed all five of the Leadership Correspondence Courses.  However, the SMC will consider any candidate the Chapter feels would best represent their Chapter to the State Council.  It is the request of the SMC that during February each Chapter choose a Chapter Representative and to inform the SMC of their choice, so that these Representatives can be announced at the DJR statewide initiation on March 3rd.  Please also indicate whether the Chapter Representative will be attending DJR, and the annual Oregon DeMolay Conclave in April.
